Wichita Women's Initiative Network, (WIN) received The 'Jiggs' Nelson Quality of Life award April 27 from the Wichita Medical Research & Education Foundation. The award is presented to an organization who by their efforts results in the improvement of physical well being, mental health and spiritual well being in the Wichita community.

Members of Newman University Staff Assembly who served on the Silent Auction committee met with staff and participants from the Wichita Women's Initiative Network (WIN) May 2 to present a check for $3,012. The money was raised through the Staff Assembly's12th annual Silent Auction, held April 8. WIN, an organization sponsored by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ (ASC) that provides support for and teaches social, educational and general life skills to victims of domestic abuse, was selected as a beneficiary of this year's auction. The organization is supported through the sale of products made by the women of WIN.
