Job-Readiness Training

WIN’s job-readiness training includes work skills classes, professional mentoring and work experience to help prepare participants for the work world. Each participant is paired with a Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) mentor who coaches them in resume writing, preparing for job interviews, workplace etiquette, work ethics, and more.

After an initial assessment and orientation to the program, participants move on to short-term community work experiences in fields of interest to them, such as health care, office and data entry work, retail sales, and manufacturing.

Said one satisfied employer of the WIN participants assigned to his business: “These women were both reliable and required minimal supervision and training.  I gladly invite any interested WIN participants to explore the idea of completing work experience hours in our organization and hope to work with more in the future.”

If you are an employer interested in being a work experience site, please contact Amber Beck at 316-262-3960.
